Day 7- My favourite quote
I have 2 quotes that are very special to me.
I am a hopeless romantic... And a giant Dr Seuss fan! So this quote is very special to me.
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because your dreams are no longer better then reality"
-Dr. Seuss
When Jack Layton passed away from cancer it hit me very hard. I had been a big fan of him and was extremely excited when the NDP won the opposition.
Even through sorrow he left words of optimism, someday I'd like to get this quote tattooed on me, as a reminder to be loving, hopeful and optimistic everyday.
"My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world."
- Jack Layton

Maleficent
I am a member of The Disney Movie Club (yeah.. I know I have no kids... shh...) and my most recent featured title was Maleficent!
I also ordered Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Haven't had the chance to pop that one in yet though!
I did however get the opportunity to sit down with Maleficent last night!
To summarize: This movie was AMAZING. Such a feel-good alternative to the classic disney film (which I also own... yeah)
I have a soft spot for a fairy tale world and the world Maleficent protected was no different, the film was beautifully done and Angelina Jolie as always was so graceful in her roll.
I really enjoyed watching the king go insane during the course of the film because it reminded me of how many times the king was portrayed as drunk in the original cartoon film. It was a nice comparison!
I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who needs a good feel-good fairy tale! Stay tuned for Captain America!

GlamST iOS Review
I was given the opportunity to test out a new app thanks to Brand Backer it's called GlamST for iOS, it's currently only available for Apple products but I think they are planning to expand into the other markets as well.
Link to the app can be found here and the glamST website here.
They want to know all the details!
They had tons of styles to choose from!
I decided to go trendy first for my look- there were so many options to choose from!
The "before" and "after" option was really neat, just slide the white line found on the left side of the screen over to get your desired division.
Next up I gave edgy a try... You know what? I don't hate it
Now time for some glamour in my life. I like the lipstick on this one!
It starts off fairly basic, I shot a selfie of myself and it allowed me to adjust the settings. It was fairly good at picking facial features, the lips were the only one I had to manually adjust.

The hipster one came out a bit goth...
Now the part that makes this app awesome!! The far left option on the bottom of the screen is where you can purchase the makeup that you've tried on!! And it'll give you a total price for your possible order.
The lightbulb button gives you some inspiring faces to look at.
The middle red button allows you to share on social media
The moon/sun button allows you to adjust for night and day
And the final little person on the right is your account options.
This app was a lot of fun and really easy to use! It's a neat way to experiment with new makeup before actually buying it, because no one likes a full makeup cabinet with nothing they like!
Once again the link to the app is here and their website for more info on this neat innovation is here

Someone I love
Day 6- A picture of someone I love!
I think this goes without saying!
Princess Peach and I came together through a kijiji ad, when I arrived at the house to pick her up the owners very swiftly handed her to me and told me to hurry out because their little boy loved her... She was the only orange kitty among a litter of 4, the rest all black and white.
My boyfriend at the time and I found ourselves very quickly with a new kitten... A kitten we didn't have a carrier or food or litter for yet.
The rest of the evening was very strategic getting everything we needed for this precious little darling.
I have been in love ever since! I can't imagine a life without her.
HERE SHE IS AS A KITTEN!!

Homemade Pizza
I was seriously feeling some homemade pizza tonight, it was a bit of a rough day and this is the ultimate comfort food.
The recipe for my nice soft pizza dough is..
(2 Pizzas)
2 tbsp Active Dry Yeast
2 cups Warm Water
1 tsp Sugar
4 cups All-purpose Flour (plus extra for kneading)
4 tbsp vegetable oil
Dissolve yeast and sugar in the warm water. Let sit until fermented.
Mix the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and add the water/ yeast mixture
Knead the dough in a bit more flour then cover and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
Divide in half and press into greased pizza pans.
Now the fun part!! I use Tomato Sauce combines with Epicure's pizza spice!!
The I added Pepperoni, Green Peppers and Herb and Garlic Cheddar
Baked in the oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes!
